The Voice 2016 judges: Jason Derulo in talks to join panel?

Jason Derulo has suggested he could end up on The Voice UK panel.

The R&B star has revealed there has been "interest from both parties" when it comes to him potentially joining the BBC One series.

He told the Daily Star newspaper this week: “There’s some talk about me doing The Voice here.

“It’s a cool show, there’s interest from both parties, myself and them.”

Jason added: “I’d like to sit with will.i.am sure, but let’s see if we are able to do that contractually.”

Having a chat with the tabloid, Jason claimed that TV shows were now just seen as another part of being a popstar.

He suggested: “Times have changed, most artists are demystified and fans crave social media and want to get to know the artist. Now they crave that attention.”

As things stand, nothing has been confirmed about The Voice UK panel ahead of the new series beginning filming later this year.

Current coaches Will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Ricky Wilson have all said they want to be back however Rita Ora - a new addition this year - has refused to comment.

But it seems rather unlikely that the BBC would want an all male panel, meaning we could possibly be saying goodbye to Ricky or either Sir Tom or Will who have both been in the spinning red chairs since Day 1.

The Voice UK will be back on TV in January 2016 however recording will start around September time.
