Stevie McCrorie sold just under 40,000 copies to make the top 10 in the charts this week.
The winner of The Voice 2015 charted at Number 6 with his cover of Adam Levine's Lost Stars, having led the way at Number 1 by 4,000 sales last Wednesday.
However the introduction of streaming figures left Stevie at quite the disadvantage and he slipped down the rankings when the official Top 40 countdown was revealed last night.
Stevie's drop wasn't the only upset that the move to include Streaming in the charts caused at the weekend with Nick Jonas also missing out on Number 1 despite scoring the actual biggest selling single of the week with his song Jealous.
Nevertheless, the weekend's chart result is still the most success that any winner from The Voice UK can boast.
To date Stevie is the only one to trouble the Top 10 with two of the previous three having not even made the Top 40 at all.
Plus, all proceeds from the track will be donated to the BBC Performing Arts fund.
