Last year's winner of The Voice UK Jermain Jackman sold 2,500 copies of his debut album last week.
Sales data shows that Jermain's self-titled record shifted 2,459 units, not enough for it to make the Top 40.
The album narrowly missed out on the top tier of the chart, coming in at Number 42 on Sunday night's Top 100 countdown.
Jermain didn't fare as well as Series 2 winner Andrea Begley did with her record, which made the Top 10, but did much better than the first winner Leanne Mitchell who charted at 134 with her debut effort.
This year show bosses are keen to give the eventual winner a boost with a proper Voice UK winner's single for the first time.
All four of the finalists have recorded a cover of Maroon 5's Lost Stars which with the champion releasing their version straight after this Saturday night's final, and proceeds from downloads will go to charity.
The Voice's executive producer Moira Ross said: “Having a track released on the night of the final adds even more excitement to the live show.
" I’m sure viewers will love the track - all four of our finalists are incredible singers and have made their own mark on it with four very different interpretations.”
The Voice final airs this Saturday night on BBC One.
