The Voice UK ratings slumped to a disappointing 6.3 million viewers last night.

The second live show - the semi-final - was down 800,000 viewers on last weekend's figure of 7 million as the four finalists were announced.

However the viewing figures were still the best of the night and up slightly on last year when the show had fallen to 5.9 million.

Nevertheless it's a bit of a shame to see the ratings again struggle in the live shows, with this year's run having seen some the best numbers since the first series for the auditions earlier this year.

But with the spin-off show axed and performances not being posted to iTunes, the BBC hasn't exactly done it's best to help numbers.

Meanwhile, Cheryl Cole appeared on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway last night, boosting the show's recent ratings to come within 400,000 viewers of The Voice. 5.9 million tuned in for last night's episode, up 300,000 viewers on last week.

And hypnotizing game show You're Back In The Room continues to do well too, up 200,000 viewers on last week at 4.2 million.

The Voice UK and Ant and Dec both conclude with the final shows of their series next Saturday night.
