The Voice UK host Marvin Humes is sure the show will find a successful winner. Probably.

The Voice UK's Marvin Humes reckons it's only a matter of time until the show produces a successful winner.

It's currently series four of The Voice and so far none of the show's champs have exactly set the charts alight.

As it stands the three winners have just one top 40 hit between them, and that being a lowly Number 30.

Marvin, who of course rose to fame on rival show The X Factor as part of boy band JLS, suggested that it was just a matter of time until one act 'smashes' it.

"How can we get The Voice winners to do as well as X Factor winners? It will happen but The Voice is still finding its feet," he said. "It’s a very successful TV show but it’s the part after.

“People say the winner should release their stuff quicker but there’s no science to it. Ella Henderson’s took two years to come out, JLS did it in six months."

Marvin told The Sun newspaper: “Ultimately, the song should be a smash.”

The singer turned TV host, dad and part time DJ echoed remarks made by coach Will.i.am who said previously that a successful winner was needed to "legitimise the whole talent search.”

Meanwhile, Marvin went on to reveal that he reckons Rita has breathed new life into the series.

He said this week: “The highlight is Rita. She’s done so well. You forget she’s only 24 and she’s sitting there next to Tom Jones, who is 74, and she can hold her own and stand her ground.”

The Voice UK continues this Saturday night on BBC One with the latest auditions.
