The Voice UK star Sheena McHugh has revealed how she always wanted to join Team Will's team.
The bar maid had all four coaches to pick from on last night's show after her blind audition, singing Drake's Hold On, We're Going Home.
But it was only ever going to be Team Will.i.am for Sheena.
She said: "I thought from the first series, 'I'd love to be on Will's team, I think he'd get me, I think he'd understand what I'm about'."
The 26-year-old told DigitalSpy: "Ultimately that's why I picked him. But it's amazing – he's a superstar!
"He's a megastar and his time is so precious and I'm getting to work with him and he's coaching me. So it's invaluable to me really."
Meanwhile, Sheena explained how her near-fatal car crash 'made her grow up' and encouraged her to apply to audition for The Voice UK.
Sheena almost died in a smash in 2010 that left her with a broken back, ruptured spleen and damage to her bowl, as well as a lost voice.
“It was a big decision to audition because rejection can be hard. But I had to go for it," she said this week. “The crash made me want to go out and make the most of every opportunity."
Sheena added to the Daily Star on Sunday newspaper: “Music has rehabilitated me in some ways. It was always something I could focus on. It was my escape.”
