The Voice UK 2015 hopeful Sheena McHugh has told how a near fatal car crash almost ended her life.
In tonight's episode, 26-year-old Sheena McHugh sings Drake's Hold On, We're Going Home in the hope of a spin.
But it's been a long journey for Sheena to get to the blind auditions after a huge car smash in 2010.
She broke her back, ruptured her spleen even 'tore her intestines'.
"I'm lucky to be here today," she says. "I was young and had the world at my feet and then it came crumbling down quite quickly, you think you're invincible... it's a harsh reality when you realise that's not how it is."
As well as the devastating injuries, Sheena also lost her voice for six months in the aftermath of the accident
And as if that wasn't all bad enough, the crash followed the death of her father.
Sheena reveals: "Just a year before I had my accident my dad passed away. I feel when I sing I'm closest to him or he's closest to me."
Having since fully recovered from her injuries, Sheena is now back working as a bar maid and a kids singing teacher.
Inbetween her day jobs, Sheena gigs as much as she can but says she is ready for people to hear who she is as an artist.
See if Sheena gets a turn when The Voice UK blind auditions air this evening on BBC One from 7:15PM.
