The Voice UK hopeful Kim Alvord hopes that now is her time for success.
The budding performer has come close to making it twice before, first with S Club Juniors and later in pop group The Saturdays, who she later went on to support on tour.
Kim admitted that the success of The Saturdays did "upset" her after failing to make it into the band but suggested it was perhaps for the best anyway.
"I wonder now if I didn’t make it because my voice is very soulful, so wouldn’t have suited a pop girl group," the 24-year-old said today.
She told The Sun newspaper: “I was upset and I did look at the girls as they became successful and think, ‘That could have been me’.”
On Saturday night we saw Kim make it through to the battle stages of The Voice 2015 on Team Tom after performing Paolo Nutini's Scream (Funk My Life) at her blind audition.
Kim declared: "I’m the most confident I have ever been and I’m ready for it.
“I just want to be able to show the world my voice and my music.
“After all these years it would be nice to be able to tell my friends and family — who have always supported me — that I’ve finally made it.”
The Voice UK blind auditions continue Saturday nights on BBC One.
