The Voice 2015 contestant Esmee Denters has revealed she's not heard from Justin Timberlake ever since she was dropped by his label.
YouTube star Esmee was picked up but JT's own Tennman label in the second half of the 00s after he spotted her covers on the video sharing website.
Esmee went on to support Justin on tour - as well as Ne-Yo - before writing an album with the singer that was released in 2009.
Dutch singer Esmee even duetted with Justin on single Lovedealer but she was eventually dropped in 2012.
“It was very hard when I was dropped," Esmee recalls. “I went from a really glamorous world, travelling and opening for Justin Timberlake and Ne-Yo, to being back in my mum’s house in Holland and thinking: ‘Oh my God, what shall I do?’"
The 26-year-old admitted she was "angry" and "confused" by her axe but added: “You can be mad at the whole world but that doesn’t help.”
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Esmee revealed how she hasn't heard from Justin since her axe from the label but she doesn't have any bad feelings towards him.
“When I was signed I did have a lot of contact with Justin," Esmee said. “He is a very busy guy but was very involved in making the album."
She continued: “I never really got to speak to him when I was dropped but I don’t blame him, it was more the label who didn’t know what to do with me.
“If I could speak to him now I would say thanks for the opportunity but it’s a shame it didn’t work out.
“It would be nice to catch up and see how he is doing.”
