The Voice UK and Celebrity Big Brother ratings surge as ITV struggle

Just under 8.5 million tuned in to the latest episode of The Voice UK 2015 last night.

An average audience of 8.46 million watched the second installment of blind auditions from 7PM on BBC One.

It was up 400,000 viewers on last weekend's show as the new panel with Rita Ora proves to be a hit.

The show was the most watched of the night by some margin as BBC smashed ITV.

Harry Hill's reinvention of Stars In Their Eyes was down 1.2 MILLION viewers week-on-week, dropping to just 2.5 million for its second episode.

Take Me Out was ITV's most watched show of the evening with 3.3 million viewers, less than every single programme on BBC One in prime time.

Over on Channel 5 and Celebrity Big Brother continued to enjoy relatively high ratings with 2.6 million watching the latest highlights episode.

It was up 300,000 viewers on last weekend's controversial showing which saw Jeremy Jackson ejected from the house.

The Voice UK continues next Saturday night on BBC One.
