The Voice 2014 winner: Cheryl Cole congratulates Jermain Jackman

Cheryl Cole has rushed to congratulate The Voice UK 2014 winner Jermain Jackman.

Jermain, who won The Voice UK tonight, received support from Cheryl earlier tonight in the live show in a phone call to Will on air.

Tweeting after this evening's result was revealed, Cheryl tweeted: "YESsss Jermain!!! Congrats @iamwill love ya #Dopesh*t ps call me."

Jermain himself was also online just minutes after the credits rolled on the last live show, tweeting: "Work hard for your dream & you can achieve it. So humbled & blessed to of shared stage with all the artists this year. Thank you all"

Meanwhile had plenty of words of inspiration for his winner who is now one step closer to becoming the UK's first ever black, singing Prime Minister.

Will told Jermain: "To say I want to be the first black Prime Minister. A lot of people are going to giggle but you can prove people wrong."

The Black Eyed Peas frontman continued: "There is a lot of hard work, focus and dedication involved. I hope you know this victory is more than just you singing. This is direction and guidance for the rest of your life."
