Will.i.am has vowed to work with Sophie May Williams after she was eliminated from The Voice 2014 at the weekend.
Black Eyed Peas star Will said he was "heartbroken" that Sophie had left the show on Saturday as Jermain Jackman was voted through to the final.
Speaking about the semi-final results, Will reflected: "That broke my heart that she [Sophie] left, she's just so young. She just turned 17 she was excited about being away from home."
The Bang Bang hitmaker explained: "The bond between her and her mum was so strong. This experience of hers was more than just going on the competition it was Sophie finding herself.
"It was her first independent Sophie moment and she'll never forget it. To see her go home with a smile face was heartbreaking ans beautiful at the same time."
Will went on to say he plans to get Sophie into the studio once the show is over much like his protégée from last year Leah McFall.
"I am so happy Sophie joined this competition," Will gushed this week. "I know you didn't go through to the finals but she and I are going to work together regardless, I hope she just keeps that wide eyed spirit, the willingness to take on new ideas and Sophie-fy them and create wonderful music, I think she's awesome. "
Despite leaving, Sophie - who is backing team mate Jermain to win, said: "I'm just so excited!"
