Kylie Minogue has defended her decision to plug her own song on The Voice 2014 live shows.
At the weekend we saw the acts take to the stage for a group performance with their coaches.
Team Kylie sung to her hit Into The Blue, Team Ricky performed to The Kinks’ You Really Got Me, Team Tom sung Martha & The Vandellas’ Dancing in the Streets and lastly Team Will finished the show with David Bowie’s Let’s Dance.
Kylie was blasted online for her "self-indulgent" song choice which didn't seem to suit either of her acts Lee Glasson or Jamie Johnson.
And even Kylie herself seemed to struggle to sing the track as she gave a rather nasally vocal.
Still, at least she sang live... we're looking at you, Shakira.
A spokesperson for the BBC show told The Sun newspaper today that there was an "expectation" that coaches would sing their own material. Even though none of the others did.
Saying the semi-final song choices were made by coaches and the production team together, the spokesperson defended Kylie's choice: “There is audience expectation to see coaches perform their own material.”
The four remaining acts in the competition will be performing in the live finals on BBC One at 7pm on Saturday 5 April.
