The Voice 2014 results: Sally Barker sees odds slashed to win

The Voice

Sally Barker has increased her lead as the favourite to win The Voice UK this year.

The first live show of The Voice UK kicked off in spectacular style on Saturday as each Coach gave one of their acts a ‘fast pass’ straight through to next weekend’s live semi-finals and saw four acts leave the competition after receiving the lowest votes from the public.

The four artists to leave the competition in The Voice UK results were Iesher Haughton from Team Will, Rachael O’Connor from Team Kylie, Georgia Harrup from Team Tom and Emily Adams from Team Ricky.

Sally, who was given a fast pass by mentor Tom, has now seen her odds slashed ahead of the semi-final.

According to bookmakers Ladbrokes after Sally made it through to the semi-finals punters piled into her chances once again, which has seen the singer's odds slashed into just 11/8, making her the favourite ahead of Christina Marie at 15/8.

Jermain finds himself as the most likely contestant to cause an upset to the front runners at 7/1, or it's a 14/1 shot Jamie wins it for Kylie.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "It's a clear two-horse race between Sally and Christina. They are untouchable at the top of the betting and it's hard to see any one causing an upset this year."
