The Voice UK lives got underway this evening but who was saved in tonight's results?

We just saw all twelve acts sing live for the first time in their respective teams with the coaches each picking a fast pass act. Once all the acts in one team had sung, their mentor picked one to go straight through to the live shows leaving the other two to face the public vote.

Team Will kicked things off and he was quick to boast about having the youngest team before declaring he was expecting "big things" from his trio. No pressure there then.

Jermain Jackman opened the show with a performance of Bruno Mars' hit Treasure before Sophie May Williams wowed with Moondance. It left Iesher Haughton to finish Team Will off with an upbeat performance on Clean Bandit's club smash Rather Be.

The trio then took to the stage together as decided on his fast pass act: "Alright...everyone is freaking mega dope, super fresh... Iesher you were fantastic.. that was fresh.

"Sophie May, you look like an award, a statue you'd give to someone and you sounded amazing today.

"Jermain... I like saying your name Jermain... you surprised I think every single person in this country because we expected you to do the obvious but you came and took it to the next level. You showed that your fearless. Wow... so I'm taking Jermain through."

Next it was Team Kylie, starting with Jamie Johnson and Vanessa Carlton's hit A Thousand Miles. Lee Glasson followed with Help Me Make It Through The Night by Kris Kristofferson leaving Rachel O'Connor singing Shine A Light by McFly and Taio Cruz to round things off.

Kylie was much to quicker to announce her fast pass, declaring she was taking Jamie through tot he semi-finals.

Sir Tom Jones' trio of acts took to the stage next and it was Bizzi Dixon who started things off with If You Really Love Me by Stevie Wonder. Sally Barker then performed To Love Somebody by the Bee Gees before Georgia Harrup completed Sir Tom's line up with Money On My Mind by Sam Smith.

The three budding performers then returned to the stage to await Sir Tom's fast pass choice with the Welsh crooner saying: "I though the three of you did fantastic, you made me proud. My fast pass is... Sally."

Finally it was time for Team Ricky, with Chris Royal impressing the coaches with One Day Like This by Elbow. Emily Adams took to the stage after with a take on Happy by Pharrell Williams leaving Christina Marie to close the show with Everlong by Foo Fighters.

It was then back to the Kaiser Chiefs frontman to pick one of the three to go straight through to the final stages: "The person I'm taking straight through to the semi-finals is... I can't risk it, it's Christina Marie."

It all means that Sophie May, Iesher, Lee, Rachael, Georgia, Bizzi, Emily and Chris will face the first public vote with the results to be revealed in tonight's second show.
