FOUR of the final twelve contestants on The Voice UK 2014 are suffering from illness in the run up to tomorrow's first live show, it's reported.

According to The Sun, Team Kylie Minogue has been the worst hit, with her male acts Lee Glasson and Jamie Johnson both feeling poorly.

Ricky Wilson's artist Christina Marie has also been affected, alongside Sally Barker, mentored by Tom Jones.

The bug has apparently left the quartet struggling to sing, with bosses ordering them NOT to take part in rehearsals in the hope that they'll be better for Saturday's episode.

An insider told the newspaper: "Everyone’s drinking lemon and honey, snorting Vicks inhalers and getting early nights – it is hardly rock ’n’ roll."

This is particularly worrying for Christina - one of the favourites to win the series - who earlier this week insisted that she's not worried about the show going live.

"As we don’t think, ‘Oh my gosh, everyone’s watching at home, oh my gosh’, we’ll be alright," she commented.

The Voice UK's live quarter final airs tomorrow at 6.45pm and 8.50pm on BBC One, ahead of the launch of a brand new spin-off.

Beginning on Monday at 6.30pm on BBC Two, Zoe Ball hosts weekdaily companion show The Voice: Louder on Two, which will bring us exclusive action from behind the scenes of the talent contest.
