The Voice UK contestant Jamie Johnson has big ambitions.

The Kent-based singer is aiming to become the male version of Adele with his performances on the live shows, which kick off tomorrow night on BBC One.

The Team Kylie signer wowed us all during the knockout rounds with his cover of Sex On Fire to win a place in the Final 12.

Speaking the Metro newspaper about the show and his music style, Jamie revealed: "I would like to make sort of soul, r’n’b acoustic music.

"You know, like Adele, but a male version. I don’t think there is anyone out there like that so that would be my selling point."

And Jamie admitted that his music would have a lot in common with Adele's saying he writes a lot about his failed relationships.

"I write quite depressing stuff. It’s all about relationships. It’s the stuff you write about most because it’s on your mind," he explained.

Poor Jamie added: "Although no one’s broken my heart yet, it’s usually me that gets dumped.

"When I’m gigging the girls think 'I can’t put up with that'. I think it could become a problem in the future because my music is my main priority, no matter what. Doing music is everything.’

The Voice UK airs this Saturday night on BBC One from 6:45PM.
