The Voice UK contestant Christina Marie has denied reports of backstage clashes.
It was reported in The Sun newspaper at the weekend that Team Ricky singers Christina and Emily Adams had been rowing behind the scenes.
The pair were apparently given a stern talking to by mentor Ricky Wilson following the knockout rounds.
“Christina Marie and Emily can’t stand each other,” a supposed source told the newspaper on Sunday. “A few days before the knockout rounds one singer was left in tears.
"That’s when Ricky decided enough was enough. He told them it was fine to be competitive but they had to realise they were a team and the only chances they were scuppering were their own.”
The insider added: “It was obvious they were willing each performer to fail.
“If looks could kill, there would have been some serious casualties. It’s fair to say Ricky will be glad when he has just three acts left.”
But Christina has since taken to her Twitter page to brand the reports "pure rubbish" and "lies".
She wrote to her followers: "can I just say, this is pure rubbish. me and [Emily] get on really well and I think she is INCREDIBLE - lies."
Yesterday it was revealed that Christina was the new bookies' favourite to win The Voice UK.
As the judges whittled their contestants down to their final three acts she's at 3/1 to secure her coach Ricky a win on his debut.
Sally Barker finds herself positioned in second spot with odds of 7/2, whilst former favourite Rachael O’Connor has slipped down the betting to 5/1.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “It’s all change at the top of the market and after making Ricky’s final three the money suggests the competition is Christina’s to lose.”
