The Voice 2014 knockout rounds continue tonight and it's the turn of Team Will and Team Ricky.
Amongst the 14 acts on the show this evening competing for just six spots in the live shows is Iesher Haughton.
In the knockouts each singer chooses their own song and for 19-year-old Iesher it's quite a big one.
"I'm singing 'Try It On My Own' by Whitney Houston," she revealed. "I have a connection with my mum, and my mum's always had that song playing from when I was younger. I completely forgot about it until I was like, 'Oh, this is a great song'.
"I'm a big Whitney fan and the words meant a lot, so I was like, 'I'm going to try it on my own!'
"It was kind of risky, because obviously I was thinking Whitney's got big shoes to fill and I didn't want to make any mistakes with it. But I tried my best. I never thought, 'Why did I choose this song?' because I really like the song, I sang it with everything, with all the meaning. All the words meant something and the song meant something to me."
Speaking to DigitalSpy, Iesher revealed that the advice from mentor Will.i.am was fairly straight forward.
"It was just kind of be myself, be confident and just do my best," she explained. "It was just do your best and see where it takes you. That's all you can do.
"There's no point going out there singing half-heartedly and then you're the one to blame! He does talk in riddles! But I think I'm quite weird myself, so I understand a little bit! I kind of understand where he's coming from."
And asked why she originally joined Team Will after all four coaches turned for her, Iesher said: "I picked will because he said he was going to work on my confidence, and that's the reason why I came on the show. I didn't even have to say anything and he saw that I wanted to work on my confidence."
