Jessie quit the show after two series last year, putting her exit down to a clash of schedules with her new album.
“I’ve absolutely loved my time on The Voice and I hope everyone saw and knows how passionately I felt about the show," Jessie said in a statement last July. “However, I can’t wait to promote my new record around the world and that has to take priority.
"I shall be keeping a very close eye on series three, showing my support in every way I can and [I] really hope that in some way I can be part of the show.”
However according to reports this week the actual reason for Jessie's departure may have been her constant arguments with the other coaches.
"Jessie got more and more vocal and seemed to be attention seeking, and by the end she was starting to get out of control," a supposed insider said.
Speaking to Heat magazine, they claimed: "She was constantly making little jokes at the other judges and they got sick of her bratty behavior and tantrums - she was a nightmare!
"She had a row with Will off-camera about him speaking over her."
Since leaving the show Jessie has been struggling to sell records with her new album having sold little more than an eighth of what her first managed.
This year’s new coaches – who replace Jessie and Danny O’Donohgue – clearly know how much the show can help their careers and aren’t worried about admitting it.
“I love my band and I want our new record to get noticed,” Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson said recently. “I know everyone is going, ‘He thinks he’s going to sell more records and more tickets’.
“And that is why I’m doing it. I’m not an idiot.”
The Voice 2014 continues this Saturday night on BBC One.
