The Voice 2014 results: Femi Santiago sings his way into Team Kylie!

Femi Santiago

Femi Santiago won a spot on Team Kylie in The Voice 2014 UK battle rounds tonight.

Will.i.am had pitted Iesher Haughton and Femi against one another in a performance of Stop, Look, Listen by Diana Ross & Marvin Gaye.

But Will admitted regret after the performance, saying: “That was incredible. It’s going to be hard choosing between you two. I should’ve never put you guys together.”

Kylie Minogue added: “That was splendid, beautiful, lovely and stylish. Beautiful harmonies, delicious.

Sir Tom said: I know Diana Ross very well but Iesher brought something Fresh which wasn’t there before. Even though I know Will doesn’t want to lose either one of you it made for a great duet.

Left with a “potential nun chuck up inside his cranium”, Will thinks out loud: “You’re damned if you do and you’re damned if you don’t, do I have anyone to compete with Femi… kinda, Jermain in a way, do I have anyone to compete with Iesher, no…”

The Black Eyed Peas star eventually declared: "So... the person moving forward and hoping that both move forward is Iesher."

Encouraged by former mentor Will, Femi went on to try and serenade Kylie with a song to make it through to the next stage on her team and it worked.

The Aussie popstar finally used her steal to pinch Femi for her team, although she insisted it was always going to happen.

Kylie said: "I was always going to turn for Femi, the serenade was just the icing on the top. He was my number one. The name I could not speak."
