The Voice 2014 judges: Ricky Wilson, Will.i.am clash over battle round results

Will.i.am (The Voice 2014)

The Voice 2014 judges Ricky Wilson and Will.i.am clash in tonight's show.

The pair disagree over Ricky's final battle round decision as the Kaiser Chief's frontman chooses between close pals Nathan Amzi and Christina Marie.

In training Ricky advised the pair to ditch the pretense of a fight in favour of a more loving duet on their song The Power Of Love By Gabrielle Aplin.

In rehearsals Ricky says he has “goosebumps on his goosebumps” and reckons this will turn into one of the biggest battles the show has ever seen.

It’s certainly an epic performance but it seems Ricky also made one of the show’s biggest mistakes in pairing the two against one another when it comes to deciding who stays in the competition.

When he finally announces the result Will brands Ricky crazy and adds: "He let a supreme being exit the scene if you know what I mean."

And there are shouts of "robbed" from the loser's friends and family in the audience when the unlucky act doesn't get stolen.

Ricky tells cameras: "I'm feeling bad.. it should've been a steal, its ridiculous that it wasn't but that moment is now on film, the whole nation and the whole world will see it."

Explaining her decision not to steal, Kylie says: "It's like being back at the blind auditions where there are a lot of acts to listen to and I'm conscious not to fill up that one precious place too soon."

The Voice UK airs tonight from 7PM on BBC One.
