The Voice 2014 recap: Battle round results! Who's in the knockouts?

The Voice UK battle rounds kicked off tonight and here's a recap of all the results.

The two hour long show saw the first half of the battle performances with three fights on each of the four teams.

First up was singing politician Jermain Jackman who easily beat his competition in the form of Sarah Eden-Winn with his deep voice. "It's not the end," protested Sarah but with no steal it was.

Onto Team Kylie next and there was a very real frosty atmosphere between Lee Glason and Jimmy Weston in rehearsals as the pair prepared to perform When You Were Young by The Killers. In the end Kylie declared Lee the winner as Jimmy walked off stage.

On Team Tom and Sally Barker and Talia Smith duetted on Olly Murs' Dear Darling in what can only be described as possibly the most boring segment of the whole series so far. Sally won, not that anyone seemed to care either way.

Team Ricky completed the first round of battles and it was a much bigger battle with duo Tila & Tavelah facing Beth McCarthy. The trio performed Katy Perry's Roar with Ricky announcing Beth the winner. Maybe she'll now finally be able to buy clothes big enough to cover her abs.

Leo Ihenacho and Steven Alexander were next into the ring for Team Kylie in a frustratingly even battle. Kylie voted to save Leo but begged the other coaches to steal Steven and Sir Tom obliged, taking the Scottish performer for his own team.

In the battle of the soul singers on Team Tom Bizzi Dixon tried to get the better of Kenny Thompson as they perform Hey Jude by The Beatles and he managed it in what brands the best battle of all three series.

The Voice

Starting the second half of the show were stylish Callum Crowley and smooth Tom Barnell with Will giving the duo a "pretty jamming" version of Michael Jacksons's PYT. Geeky Tom was nervous about his stylish rival and it proved to be the right feeling as Will declared Callum the winner.

Back to Team Kylie again and it was Jai McConnell against Nomakhosi Nkosi and the second steal of the night. Belfast singer Jai won over Kylie but Nomakhosi didn't leave the competition with Will buzzing in to steal her.

There was a huge song for Emily Adams and Kelsey-Beth Crossley to learn as they took on Fighter by Christina Aguilera with Emily quite frankly blowing Kelsey-Beth's relatively weak voice out of the water.

The last of the battles on Team Tom was between Celestine - who we've barely seen on the show so far - and Mairead Conlon and perhaps surprisingly Celestine won.

The Voice

Team Will then pitched favourites Anna McLuckie and Jessica Steele against one another in his final battle of the show with the pair both playing and singing in a bid to impress their coach. Anna won over Jessica in the battle but Ricky almost immediately went in for the steal to poach Jess for his own team.

The last battle of the show is between close pals Nathan Amzi and Christina Marie who performed an epic duet on The Power Of Love By Gabrielle Aplin. Unfortunately the brilliant performance left Ricky with an almost impossible decision as he chose to send Christina through, a decision Will made clear he disapproved of. With Kylie not pressing her buzzer there was no steal for poo Nathan who bowed out of the competition.
