The Voice 2014: Will.i.am to quit for Black Eyed Peas reunion?

Will.i.am (The Voice 2014)

Will.i.am could be looking set to leave The Voice 2014 after three years.

The rapper has arguably been the stand out judge on the BBC One series since it first started back in 2012, but this year could be the last time we see him in the spinning red chairs.

At least here in the UK, with both Will and Kylie Minogue having already signed up for the Australian version of the show later this year.

But Will looks in doubt to be returning in 2015 after it was reported that the Black Eyed Peas are set for a reunion and world tour next year.

"The Black Eyed Peas are all in agreement that they should put a new tour on for the fans - it's not like they properly split when they parted for a hiatus in 2012," a source revealed at the weekend.

The supposed insider told The Sun on Sunday (paid link) newspaper: "This time around they're going to head back into the studio and lay down a new album quickly and then hit the road once again.

"Will has been instrumental in persuading all the Peas to get back into shape and hit the road again."

However it's claimed that Fergie is reluctant: "Will knows without Fergie there isn't really a BEP tour so they're willing to pay her more to keep her happy if that's what it takes.

“He just wants to celebrate the career they had and show people they still have what it takes to top the charts with the new music.”

Would you miss Will on the show? Who would you want to see replacing him?

For now, The Voice UK 2014 continues on Saturday nights on BBC One.
