The Voice 2014: Rachael O'Connor is favourite to win

Rachael O'Connor (The Voice 2014)

Rachael O'Connor is the new favourite to win The Voice 2014.

The 16-year-old, who credited her granddad as an inspiration for singing, wowed the judges with his audition earlier this month.

Going on stage to perform Clown by Emeli Sande, Kylie Minogue was the first to press her buzzer followed by Sir Tom Jones and Ricky Wilson, with the teen choosing to join Team Kylie.

Bookies have installed Rachel as their favourite to triumph in the series with just one blind audition show to go.

The girls look set to dominate on the series this year with Team Will's Sophie May-Williams the second favourite.

Also proving popular are Team Kylie's Jade Mayjean Peters and Team Will's Iesher Haughton.

Team Kylie's Lee Glasson is the highest rated boy while Amelia O'Connell is the most backed contestant from last Saturday night's latest show.

The popularity of their acts has made Kylie and Will the joint favourites to becoming this year's winning mentor at odds of 2/1 while newbie Ricky is an outsider at 4/1.

Of course we've still got more auditions to go and then both the Battle and Knockout rounds before we even start the live shows, let alone get to the final.
