Emma Willis finds hosting The Voice 2014 "terrifying"

Emma Willis (Big Brother 2014)

Emma Willis has admitted she's found hosting The Voice 2014 "terrifying".

The Celebrity Big Brother present took over from Holly Willoughby on the BBC One series this year ad it's her biggest gig yet.

But even for veteran presenter Emma it's taking some getting used to being watched by close to ten million viewers every week.

She told the Daily Mirror newspaper today: “I never thought that my first job for the BBC would be on one of its flagship prime time shows. I was also offered it outright without an audition, which had never happened to me before.

“There’s definitely pressure on me – it’s terrifying to be in front of the biggest audience I’ve ever worked to!

"However, it’s such a lovely team on The Voice, with all the coaches and my co-presenter Marvin Humes, so I felt comfortable straight away.”

Emma went on to confess she owed a lot to Big Brother and didn't mind being branded the 'new Davina' after taking over from her on the reality series.

“I know that show inside out and I love all the contestants who take part," Emma said of the Channel 5 show. “Some people call me the new Davina McCall and I’m happy to take that! She is one of my idols on TV and I’ve admired her for a long time.”

The Voice 2014 blind auditions air tonight from 7:10PM on BBC One.
