The Voice 2014 judges get competitive ahead of latest auditions (The Voice 2014)

The Voice 2014 coaches get competitive tonight as the blind auditions reach their halfway point.

Speaking before the latest set of budding performers sing, Ricky says: "I'm every competitive. I can't stand losing. This will be absolutely hell unless I win.

"What I'm looking for is more than technical ability, it's about connecting."

Kylie agrees: "I do feel competitive, the red chair really brings it out of you."

Sir Tom adds: "This is like a game of poker, you're trying to read one another, each coach wants to get the best team.

Meanwhile is on hand with another bizarre remark.

He tells the camera: "If there was no competition it'd be pretty boring. Like, I would hate to be Usain Bolt, he just beats everybody. Now Usain Bolt and a cheetah, that's competition."

Going into tonight's show, Kylie Minogue leads the way with all male team of four while Ricky Wilson's Team Ricky on the other hand is the opposite with a trio of girls making up the Kaiser Chief’s line up.

Sneaky Willy returned last weekend as Team Will added two new members to bring his total to three leaving Sir Tom Jones lagging behind at the moment with just two acts in his team.

The Voice UK blind auditions air this evening on BBC One from 7PM.
