Rejected Voice UK singer Bob Blakley has picked up a record deal live on air.
In an appearance on BBC Breakfast today, Bob was surprised by an offer from musician Mike Batt, writer of his songs including Bright Eyes.
Batt told presenter Susanna Reid: "Usually when the chairs don't turn around you think, fair enough, but he was just so phenomenal.
"I just felt such a sense of injustice that I thought I ought to do something.
He told a teary eyed bob: "I would like to be the fifth person that did turn round... I would love to mentor you, to, if you like, manage you for six months or so until you get a deal with a good company, or with my own company.
"You must not let this chance go by and I would like to help you."
Speaking after his audition at the weekend, Bob revealed: "The phone hasn't stopped ringing since the show was broadcast.
"It feels like a dream."
However for now he's back at work in his warehouse job, adding: "The guys at work were really supportive and were cheering me on when I got in this morning."
