The Voice UK 2014 contestant Vicky Jones wants some of her brother's success

The Voice 2014 hopeful Vicky Jones is hoping to follow in her famous brother's footsteps.

The singer is the older sister of McFly's Danny Jones and will be seen singing on The Voice UK this weekend.

It's week three of the blind auditions and Vicky will be hoping to win a spot on one of the four teams.

Speaking on the show, Vicky says: “I was in bands with Danny when we were younger but when he ended up in McFly, I was a bit stuck.

"I can co-write stuff but need a band around me, and I don’t think anyone has worked out what to do with me.”

She added: “I’ve never been jealous of Danny. He worked so hard and I wasn’t ready for it then.”

Vicky revealed to The Sun newspaper today that she didn't reveal to her brother Danny about taking part in the show until she sang for the coaches at the filmed auditions, saying: “I wanted it to be about me.”

But she doesn't make a secret of her famous sibling when interviewed on the series, admitting: “I do say on the show who my brother is because it is part of who I am.”

The Voice 2014 airs this Saturday night at 7PM on BBC One.
