The Voice 2014: Kelsey-Beth Crossley always wanted to sing

Kelsey-Beth Crossley (The Voice 2014)

The Voice UK contestant Kelsey-Beth Crossley has revealed she's always wanted to be a singer ahead of an actress.

Tonight we saw the former Emmderale star win over both Kylie Minogue and Ricky Wilson with her cover of Fell In Love With A Boy by Joss Stone.

It prompted a bidding war between the pair of newbie judges, with Kylie playing the soap card wile Ricky played the Northern card.

In the end, Kelsey-Beth decided to join Team Ricky, becoming the Kaiser Chiefs third singer in a so-far all female line up.

Speaking before going out on stage, Kesley-Beth told how she had always wanted to be a singer but her role as a child actress in Emmerdale left her with little spare time.

"I love to sing - it was the first thing I got into," she said. "Then when I got into Emmerdale, I put it on the back burner."

She added: "I am serious about being a musician and I'm ready."
