The Voice 2014: Anna McLuckie on choosing Will.i.am over Ricky Wilson

The Voice

The Voice 2014 star Anna McLuckie has revealed why she chose to join Team Will.i.am at the weekend.

The Scottish signer wowed us all with a unique performance of Daft Punk hit Get Lucky, played on the Harp.

Ricky Wilson immediately turned for Anna with Will.i.am also pressing his buzzer just before the end of the audition.

Much to Ricky's frustration, Anna opted for Team Will even though she was a huge fan of Ricky's.

She explained today: “It was a tough choice between him and Ricky – especially as I’ve always been a Kaiser Chiefs fan – but the question for me is, ‘Who am I going to learn most from?’

“And I think Will will be really good for me as an artist.

“I can’t wait for the next round.”

Anna, who bookies have made the very early 10/1 favourite to win, went on to tell The Sun that she hid her audition from friends and family over fears she'd be rejected.

“I hadn’t told many people about it, I thought it would be embarrassing if I had to tell everyone I didn’t get through! " Anna admitted. “But it’s been incredible – and a much bigger reaction than I thought.

“I’ve even had a couple of random marriage proposals on Twitter – that was interesting!”

The Voice UK airs Saturday nights on BBC One.
