The Voice UK 2014 coach Kylie Minogue has revealed she'll be a rather strict coach.
Following in the footsteps of her predecessor Jessie J, Kylie said today she'll be wanting her acts to take to the show seriously.
"I am strict if I have to be," she warned. "I want them to feel they have the support from me. I have been advising them on things that I have learned as a performer like light and shade, delivering the song in a certain way or showing them how to use the stage in a certain way.
"I would be disappointed if they didn’t take it seriously. The public want to know they have got someone who is giving it their best shot. This is an amazing opportunity for them all."
Speaking ahead of Saturday night's first audition show, Kylie admitted that despite the programme's name, image was just as important to her as The Voice.
She explained: "You need the whole package. If it were just solely about the voice, then you would not need a stage, hair, make-up or lights. I could just sit in a dark room and I wouldn’t have to get ready!"
Meanwhile, Kylie heaped praise on her fellow coaches, saying that she was happy not to have another female on the panel to avoid the inevitable "backstage bitching" stories.
"I feel like I have struck gold with three great guys," the Aussie popstar gushed. "It is nice to feel we are all in the same boat and I like having the three of them around with me. It feels like a great team.
And asked about her "competitive spirit", Kylie replied: "She has come out already! She has shown her face! I do care about it a lot and even when I go home, I find myself thinking about what is the best thing to do."
The Voice UK starts this Saturday night on BBC One with the first blind auditions from 7PM.
