Kylie Minogue and Will Young have both been linked to The Voice UK 2014 line up.
Kylie had been rumoured for the first series, but reports suggested that the BBC could not afford her £1 million fee.
Will meanwhile had originally been given the job, but was dropped before filming began in favour of a "rockier" Danny.
Now the pair are both in talks to join the show for its third make or break series next Spring.
"Show execs have put Kylie at the top of their hit list. She's still a huge name in the pop industry and has over 25 years' music experience," a show source told the Daily Star Sunday this weekend.
They added: "Kylie is preparing to reinvent herself again after signing to Jay-Z's management firm Roc Nation, so it will all depend on timings and whether she can fit in the show around her release and promo schedule.
"Will [Young] is perfect BBC fodder. He is talented, well spoken and has been hugely successful over the last ten or so years."
Keen to stop Will.i.am becoming the next coach to leave, the Black Eyed Peas star has reportedly been offered a payrise to come back, while Sir Tom Jones continues to negotiate with producers.
A spokesperson for Kylie refused to comment on the claims, while a rep for the BBC said previously talks were "ongoing" for the new line up, with nothing confirmed so far.
Auditions for The Voice 2014 will begin filming at the end of the year.
