But the Black Eyed Peas star insisted that Jessie's decision to leave hasn't impacted his choice to come back.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Will claimed: "I wasn’t really surprised when I heard Jessie was leaving, but I was sad.
“She didn’t tell me she was going. I found out on Twitter, when everyone was talking about it.”
In an interview before Danny O'Donoghue walked out the door too, Will said he had not yet decided whether or not to come back.
"I don’t know if I’ll come back to the show next year," he told the newspaper. “I haven’t thought that far ahead.”
Will previously said that it would feel "like cheating" to continue on the series without Jessie by his side.
“I’ve been asked to do series three, but it would depend on who else was there and it would be a hard decision. I feel like I’m married to Jessie so it would be weird if she wasn’t there. It’s like cheating,” Will said.
JLS' singer Ortise Williams, Rita Ora and Emeli Sande have been touted as possible replacements on the panel.
The Voice 2014 will air on BBC One next year.
