Official ratings for The Voice UK have showed that the second series was down a million viewers on the first.
However the series was far more stable in the numbers, and it's final live show last month was watched by more people.
On average, 7.45 million tuned in to the Saturday night series between March and June, down over a million viewers on last year's average audience of 8.54 million.
However the final was seen by 7.95 million viewers, up slightly on last year's 7.82 million.
This year has also undeniably seen better performance from the show's artists in the charts, with more than 5 songs currently in the official charts.
Winner Andrea Begley cracked the Top 40 with her winner's track unlike last year's champ Leanne Mitchell, while Leah McFall scored the show's first Top 10 hit with her cover of I Will Survive.
The BBC announced during the series that it had signed a deal for a third run of the show to air next year, although details about whether or not the coaches will return has to be confirmed.
