The Voice UK final: praises 'golden girl' Leah McFall

Leah McFall (The Voice UK) has compared The Voice UK finalist Leah McFall to the second coming.

Leah, Andrea Begley, Matt Henry and Mike Ward will be going head to head this evening as they compete to be crowned winner of The Voice 2013.

To win public votes, they'll be performing three times, reprising one of their past favourite performances, singing a new solo track and duetting with their coach.

Speaking ahead of tonight's live show, Will gushed about 23-year-old Leah: "There’s something new in the universe. Remember like the golden child...the second coming. Out of every single person that I’ve seen from last year to this year, Leah is the best artist.

“She’s quirky, she’s unique. There have been great singers but she has the greater shot to have a career.”

In an interview with The Sun newspaper, Will claimed that it would be better for Leah to win the show to help give her career a starting boost.

"It’s a better situation to win and have great songs rather than lose and compete with whoever wins, if they also have great songs," he said.

Leah herself however was less concerned about grabbing the title, saying: “Regardless of whether I win, I’m excited about what happens next. I hope on Sunday I’ll be straight in the studio.”
