Liam Tamne bowed out of The Voice 2013 last night and shock exit cost his family.
The West End singer was a surprise exit against John Pritchard after the pair dueled for Will.i.am.
The Black Eyed Peas star voted to send John through to the knockouts, to the anger and upset for his fellow coaches.
But despite being filmed back in February, Liam has had to stay quiet about the result until now, and his family have been heavily betting on him to win.
Liam was the favourite to win the show going into the battles, and confessed: "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't shocked because I believed I could win.
"I felt lost in the moment and just broke down. Tom Jones couldn't even look at Will."
He told the Daily Star Sunday: "Evryone assumed I'd be on the live shows because I was favourite and I couldn't tell anyone.
"Lots of people were betting on me to win. I was in a really difficult position when my best friend did it.
"The toughest thing was having my brother tell me he'd put money on me to win. I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to lie to people."
The Voice UK continues next weekend on BBC One.
