There were tears and tantrums on The Voice 2013 tonight as Jessie J stormed out and favourite Liam Tamne was sent home.

West End singer Liam was seen battling John Pritchard, with the pair singing Easy Lover by Phil Collins.

But Will came under attack from his rival coaches over the song choices, with Jessie complaining: "It was the wrong song choice, the key was too high."

But Will hit back: "This song was best for what I wanted to see. I don't pick songs for Jessie to say 'That was a good song choice'!"

Making is decision, Will chose John to progress to the shock of the others, and with Will the only coach left with a steal it meant there was no second chance for Liam.

A teary Jessie comforted him: "I am so upset right now, upset that you didn't pick me in the blinds because you wouldn't be in this predicament now. I am upset for you, becuase your voice is amazing. I don't know why Will didn't choose you."

Will explained: "It's more than just a voice, at this time going into a future career I feel John is the guy. John is a natural artist."

In tears, Liam insisted: "It's okay, it's okay. I just want to say a huge thank you. I really wish it wasn't ending, I came here for one reason and that was for my nan and I did her proud."

He added off stage: "I'm just so gutted but it just wasn't meant to be."

An angry and upset Jessie meanwhile stormed off, saying: "I just need to have a moment away from him [Will]."

The Voice UK continues next weekend on BBC One.
