The Voice UK: Hear’Say's Danny Foster makes comeback

Former Hear'Say singer Danny Foster makes his comeback on The Voice UK this weekend.

Hear'Say formed from TV show Popstars on ITV way back in 2001, but were over up less than two years later.

“I’ve been waiting for a talent show that was based on singing," he said this week ahead of his audition airing tomorrow night.

The reality telly star revealed how he kept his audition for the BBC One series secret from his former bandmates, who he insists are still great friends.

He explained: “They are all very supportive of me but nobody knew I was going to do it. I kept it secret because I thought people would probably try to talk me out of it.

“I finally told Kym and she said she thought I was really brave. She wished me the best of luck.”

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Danny insisted he wasn't jealous of the success that some of the other members of the former group have enjoyed.

“I have never seen that they have done better than me," he claimed. “Their advertising deals and stuff like that is fair enough but musically I am still singing and that is what I got into Popstars for.

“I never went into it to be a model or an actor. I went in to be a singer. I wish them the best.”

The Voice is on BBC One, Saturday 4th May at 8.05pm.
