The Voice 2013 spoilers: Jordan Lee Davies' voice surprises coaches

Not seeing the singers is the main twist The Voice UK puts on talent shows, and it continues to prove a brilliant move.

In a first look preview clip from this Saturday’s episode of The Voice UK, we see teenager Jordan Lee Davies shocking all the coaches when they finally get the chance to see him after his performance of ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’.

Ahead of his performance Jordan admitted: "People are usually quite surprised by my voice because they don’t put my voice with me.’"

And it seems that the Coaches agreed, with Sir Tom Jones telling him:"First of all I thought it sounded like a man, then like a girl."

And The Script frontman Danny admitted: "I was genuinely expecting to turn around and see someone a lot older."

But that isn’t only the surprise that Jordan has up his sleeve– whilst he describes himself as ‘sort of skinny and childlike’ and ‘not the typical looking popstar,’ his Dad Alun Davies was previously crowned the World Champion in Natural Bodybuilding!

Jordan admitted, "I didn’t really want to follow the same path as him – as you can tell! My mum used to say she had an affair with the bin man!"

But his Dad is not disappointed in his son’s career choice, "I’m really inspired by my son, when I see him on stage I am always really proud because he is doing what he wants to do."

Watch Jordan’s full audition and find out if he makes it through to Battle Rounds this Saturday, 27th April at 8.05pm on BBC One.
