The Voice UK: Hollyoaks' Alice Barlow sings Call Me Maybe for coaches

Former Hollyoaks actress Alice Barlow makes the leap from acting to singing on The Voice UK 2013 this weekend.

In a first look preview clip from this Saturday’s episode of The Voice UK blonde beauty Alice takes to the stage with a rendition of ‘Call Me Maybe’ by Carly Rae Jepsen.

Alice played the character of Rae Wilson for two years in Hollyoaks before pursuing other acting jobs but now it seems a singing career could be on the cards..

The Script front man Danny O'Donoghue certainly took a shine to the 21-year-old, telling her that she had a "really classic woman’s recording voice that you would hear on the radio."

Sir Tom meanwhile gushed: "I know a great voice when I hear it" but we will have to tune in on Saturday to find out the outcome of her audition.

And it wasn’t just Alice’s voice that impressed the Coaches, once Alice had left the stage Danny remarked to Tom "She is a good looking girl as well," to which Tom replied, "Yeah and she can really sing" whilst Jessie joked "But I bet you liked the way she looked though!"

Amongst the other acts on this weekend's show are Jessica Rabbit look-a-like Aret Kapetanovic, former X Factor hopeful Jamie Bruce and Jordan Lee Davies.

To watch Alice’s audition and find out if she is through to the Battle Rounds tune in this Saturday, 27th April at 8.05pm on BBC One.
