The Voice 2013 coaches get a surprise in the form of Aret Kapetanovic this weekend.
Aret, daughter of 70s and 80s singer and entertainer Patti Boulaye, gets the panel both gushing about her performance of Upside Down by Paloma Faith and her looks.
Jessie dubs her ‘Jessica Rabbit in real life’ when then coaches all turn to see Aret in her thigh splitting black sequined dress.
“Every single one of us went ‘WOW’,” says Jessie. “I genuinely think out of everyone we’ve seen so far, I think you are the prime example of exactly what the show is about. I didn’t expect to see you at all, how amazing you look, it didn’t go with what you sang.”
“Can I borrow your dress?!” Jessie adds.
Single Danny - who's been dubbed a 'ladies' man' on this year's series - had tried to predict what Aret would look like based on her voice, jotting down notes in his book. He wrote ‘Skinny, brown hair, weird dress’ and showed Sir Tom his prediction.
Sir Tom: “You didn't get it again did you?”
Danny O'Donoghue: “Yeah, I said skinnny, brown hair, weird dress, but it wasn't a weird dress, it was a gorgeous dress!”
Sir Tom: “Have you got eyes in the back of your chair?!”
Former beauty queen Aret, aged 35, auditioned for The Voice precisely because the Coaches wouldn't see her, even though she clearly wasn’t shy about flaunting her glamourous look.
Aret said: “Its all about the voice, and there isn’t a case of ‘you look pretty good, maybe we could do something with you. It just comes down to whether I’ve got the talent or not. And that’s terrifying.”
