Emeli Sandé's not a fan of The Voice 2013, hitting out at the show and the coaches.
Although it didn't stop her from plugging her record on the live shows last year.
Emeli moaned: I don’t think The Voice is a natural representation of the music industry…
“I think it’s false authority. I know how to be an artist in my own right.”
Speaking to the Daily Mirror today, Emeli was admitted she wasn't sure about the show's coaches, saying: “I don’t think I’d ever have any right to tell anyone else whether they can make it or not.
“I don’t think I’d feel comfortable in that position.”
Like a lot of viewers, Emeli said she loved the audition stage of the show but didn't like watching after that.
"It always makes me a little bit sad. It’s a few people telling others whether they’re good or not," she said. “Their confidence can be really knocked – it always makes me feel sad.”
But Emeli was a fan of Jessie J on the show, adding: "Jessie really is waving the female flag.
“She definitely keeps it focused on vocal ability – things that are important when you’re an artist.”
