The Voice 2013 hopeful Nick Tatham is seen overcoming Tourette’s syndrome to audition on the show this weekend.
The 29-year-old hopes to impress the panel with his cover of Footloose, playing the guitar along with The Voice's live band.
Nick explains on the show: “Music is definitely my medication. When I’m playing, I don’t really think about it. I get so involved in the songs, I think that’s when the Tourette’s disappears. But I have physical tics, too.
“When I was at school, people didn’t really understand and the main thing that got me through Tourette’s and the bad time of having it was my music.
“Tourette’s makes me who I am, nothing is going to change that. It’s part of me now.”
Also seen auditioning for The Voice UK tomorrow night is former Sir Tom Jones tribute act David Kidd.
Sir Tom tells him: “There was a touch of me in there.
“It was really good, you have a great strong voice.”
The Voice UK airs from 8:20PM on BBC One this Saturday night.
