The Voice UK auditions see Meatloaf star Lorraine Crosby

Lorraine Crosby (The Voice 2013)

Lorraine Crosby will no doubt be hoping The Voice 2013 will give her career a boost, after previously working with Meatloaf.

To us, and we expect most of you lot too, the name doesn't mean too much.

But Lorraine was the guest female vocalist on Meatloaf's worldwide classic I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That).

Despite the song's huge sales across the world, Lorraine saw little success from the record, with a mere mention in the notes of the song's album.

Instead, in 2005 after gigging at holiday parks and resorts, Lorraine auditioned for The X Factor.

Despite impressing the panel that then consisted of Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne and Simon Cowell, Lorraine missed out on the live shows.

Will she fair any better on The Voice?

Tonight's show will also see the return of Alys Williams, who failed to get any of the panel to turn last year.

Meanwhile there's West End star Liam Tamne, as well as budding performers Trevor Francis, Nick Dixon and Alex Buchanan.

The first duo, Smith & Jones and Youtube star Sam Hollyman also make appearances this weekend, together with Emma Jade

The Voice UK airs Saturday night on BBC One from 7PM.
