The Voice UK: Danny O'Donoghue defends Jessie J over 'diva' reports

Danny O'Donoghue (The Voice UK)

The Voice 2013 coach Danny O'Donoghue has defended Jessie J after reports she has been acting the dva backstage.

The Script frontman wasn't too happy when he read what some supposed insiders had to say on our blog earlier this week.

He blasted on Twitter in defence of his fellow coach: "Telly mix - bullshit story about Jessie , she's nothing but an angel #sourcesarelying"

It was claimed (and by the Daily Star, not us, Danny!) at the weekend that Jessie was 'causing chaos' behind the scenes of The Voice 2013, with supposed tantrums and attention seeking antics.

However Jessie hit back on Twitter yesterday, writing: "An edited version is never the full story. You wouldn't write a review on a book after reading 3 pages would you?"

She added to her millions of followers: "When you go to bitch about someone you have never met....Think....for a second before you do... 'Oh yeah I have NEVER met them'"

Jessie previously told us she wasn't too worried about being branded a diva.

“I don’t think there’s ever been any show on TV where a girl hasn’t had the diva stamp. I see it as some sort of compliment because the original divas were the Shirley Basseys, the Whitney Houstons,” she explained last month.

The 25-year-old added: “I would never ever want anyone to think that’s how I am. Because I’m not. I’m the complete opposite.

“I have eight people in my team – not 50, which is what was said in the papers. But you can’t win, I’ve realised that it happens to women.”

The show continues this weekend on BBC One.
