After failing on Pop Idol and X Factor, can Kirsty Crawford find fame on The Voice?

Kirsty Crawford (The Voice UK)

Singer Kirsty Crawford is seen making her third attempt at fame on The Voce 2013 this weekend.

The performer previously appeared on Pop Idol, making it through to the final 50 contestants.

After the competition, Kirsty was signed but her dreams of chart topping success never came.

"I've been singing since I was kid, with dreams of being in musical theatre or on MTV," she says.

Kirsty quit med school in order to fulfil her ambitions, trying out for The X Factor in 2010.

Despite praise from Simon Cowell after belting out Highway To Hell, Kirsty didn't make it past the bootcamp stages.

Now Kirsty, who has previously supported Chris Moyles of all people on tour, hopes The Voice will be a big break.

It's her first big outing since The X Factor and she confessed it's been hard picking herself up.

She said: "You think 'Have I failed?' I felt disappointed in myself and for three years I stopped singing."

Butt once again nerves look to be getting to Kirsty.

She says backstage before her blind audition: "Every time I sing I get so nervous and I panic. I need to prove to myself that I stuck it out during my dip in confidence for a reason. The nerves aren't going to get the better of me, I'll be fine."

See if Kirsty can conquer her fears when The Voice UK returns on BBC One this Saturday night.
