Tom Jones has reportedly abandoned filming of The Voice UK so he can fly out to Los Angeles to rehearse for the Oscars.
Contestants are currently preparing for the show's all new 'Knockout' rounds, which will be taped in London this Thursday.
However, coach Sir Tom is scheduled to take part in a performance at Sunday's Academy Awards commemorating the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film series.
The 72-year-old - who recorded the theme for 1965 flick Thunderball - will appear alongside fellow Welsh singing legend Shirley Bassey, while global superstar Adele will also perform her track 'Skyfall', from last year's movie of the same name.
According to The Sun, this has resulted in Tom taking time off from the BBC One talent contest, which returns to our screens in March.
Bosses recently confirmed tweaks to the format for the second series, which have already proven successful in the American version.
The coaches are now able to steal acts from their rivals in the Battle rounds, before the Knockouts see them choose just three acts to take to the live shows.
