The Voice UK: Tyler James ditches Will.i.am tracks from album

Tyler James (The Voice UK)

The Voice UK runner up Tyler James has axed tracks with coach Will.i.am for his new album.

Tyler, who finished behind winner Leanne Mitchell on the first series of The Voice UK earlier this year, is preparing to release new album A Place I Go.

Tyler had worked with Will.i.am, his coach on the show, on three tracks, but all of them have been ditched from the final release, it's been revealed.

But Tyler, who releases new single Single Tear later this month, insisted that they were still great friends.

She said: “Will doesn’t feature on the album but it wasn’t a conscious decision to leave him off.

“We worked on three songs but they just weren’t right for the end result.

“Will was still a massive part of the album and I’d ask his opinion on all the songs.”

The Voice UK will return to BBC One in the new year for its latest round of auditions.
