Tonight sees the launch of Channel 4's brand new gameshow The Singer Takes It All, which promises to be hilarious Friday night entertainment.
The karaoke extravaganza will see wannabes perform to the nation on a giant conveyor belt.
But don't write it off as just another talent contest yet, as it's by no means a serious experience - as you might expect from a show hosted by Alan Carr.
There is no life-changing recording contract on offer, and there won't be a panel of judges. The twist is that we, the public, will be in complete control of the contestants' fates via a mobile app.
Viewers can vote live for each singer to decide whether they're a 'hit' or a 'miss'. If a singer gets more hits, the belt will move them forward to the 'gold zone' - but if they get more misses they'll be sent flying backwards through 'the flaps' and out of the competition.
Whoever spends the most time in the gold zone will then take to the stage at the end of the episode to sing once more for a cash prize of up to £15,000.
Although The Singer Takes It All has nicked app voting from ITV's upcoming X Factor rival Rising Star, it takes the gimmick one step further - as the public can also help decide who will appear on future episodes by voting on audition clips.
Hopefuls range from some actually pretty decent vocalists to the complete nutters that leave you in stitches - our favourites include a rather normal looking young man who filmed himself flailing around his living room to Tina Turner's 'Simply The Best'.
We here at Tellymix are already completely and utterly addicted to the app, and if the TV show is even half as entertaining then we're all in for a right treat.
You can get involved now by downloading the app and voting for the hopefuls - it's available for free from the Apple App Store and Google Play - and don't forget to have it ready for the first live episode tonight at 9.00pm on Channel 4.
